How Can We Help You?

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What sets imswraps apart from the competition?

A: We are meticulous about our wrapping process. Since we have 10,000 square feet in our installation facility, we are able to offer amenities that others don’t. We have a detailing department that will completely detail the exterior of your vehicle and clean the inside. Since we have an auto-body background, we are able to accurately disassemble the trim on your vehicle before applying the wrap. This allows for a "cleaner" installation and fewer visible trim marks.

Q: What is a vehicle wrap?

A: Wrapping a vehicle is like applying a large, durable sticker to the entire surface of your vehicle. We apply full color printed vinyl directly over the existing paint. The best part is that the wrap is removable when you are ready to change the message or sell your vehicle.

Q: How will I know if the paint on my vehicle will be suitable for a wrap?

A: When you bring your vehicle in for an estimate, we will survey the vehicle with you. We will tape test the vehicle to make sure the paint has proper adhesion. If the vehicle has been in an accident or been re-painted, we will need to know this prior to wrapping the vehicle. We are not liable for paint defects or damage.

Q: How do I design a wrap?

A: We will help you design your wrap. Together with our professional graphic designers, we will develop a message to help you advertise your company. All we need to start designing are your logo(s), any photos you want to use, contact info, and any additional input you may have for the design. We typically charge $85/hour to design your wrap with a minimum charge of 5 hours. Additional time is billed accordingly.

Q: How will you print my wrap?

A: We will print your wrap on one of our solvent inkjet printers. We use a digital CMYK process to print your full color images onto premium wrap vinyl. The inks are designed not to fade for up to three years. Once your vinyl is printed, we will laminate it with a premium gloss or matte overlaminate to help protect the print from scratches and other damage.

Q: How long does it take to wrap a vehicle?

A: Once the design process is complete, we should have your vehicle at our shop for no more than 3-4 days. This will allow adequate time for detailing your vehicle, applying the wrap and allowing it to cure prior to hitting the road.

Q: Can you wrap my vehicle at my home or office?

A: We only install in our state-of-the-art installation facility. We control all of the elements and the finished product will be better if installed at our shop.

Q: How do you wrap windows?

A: We can wrap most side & rear windows on your vehicle. It is important to check with your local authorities to see what is approved for transit use.

Q: What if I want to update or change some of the info on my wrap once it has been installed?

A: We can update information at any time. We can install a partial "patch" or replace a panel, your choice.

Q: Do you provide a rental car?

A: Yes. In most cases we will provide you with a complimentary rental car while your vehicle is at our facility.

Q: What terms do you offer for payment?

A: We require a 50% deposit prior to starting your design. The balance is due when you pick up your vehicle.

Q: Can a wrap be removed without damaging my vehicle?

A: Yes. As long as you remove your wrap within 3-4 years, there should be very little if any damage to your vehicle. We do recommend having imswraps.com remove it for you. We can remove the wrap without damaging the vehicle utilizing a unique process.

Q: Do you guarantee your wraps?

A: We offer a full warranty against installation defects resulting in peeling or fading for 1 full year.

Q: How long do your wraps last?

A: We recommend replacing your wrap every 3-4 years. The vinyl is designed to last for up to 7 years, however the inks start to fade around year 3.

Q: How do I wash my wrapped vehicle?

A: It is best to hand wash your wrapped vehicle. In general, avoid power washing and do not use an ice-scraper.

Q: What else can you wrap?

A: Just about anything with a solid surface. We have wrapped equipment, bikes, motorcycles, walls, computers, vehicle interiors, and much more. The sky is the limit!
